Become a member of the District's oldest historical organization, the AOI of DC

    WHO CAN JOIN?

Anyone who is forty or more years of age and has lived, worked or operated a business in the District of Columbia for at least twenty years OR anyone who is descended from people who met these qualifications is eligible to join as a full, voting member. But... if you do not meet these qualifications, you still can be an Associate Member with all the privileges of membership except holding office or serving on the Board until having been a member for one year.

Dues are nominal–$10 initiation fee and $25 per year (due in January and subject to change).  Membership in the AOI is still considered a “bargain” by Washington standards.

Upon completing the on-line application below, you may use Zelle to pay your $10 fee.  Just select [email protected] and in the comment line note, “New Membership Application” OR you can pay by credit card by clicking here Members Only Portal (password 1865), use the "Pay Now" button and note on the form that the payment is for a New Membership.  If you prefer to pay by check, you may mail it to:  AOI, 8900 Ellsworth Court, Silver Spring, MD 20910 and note in the Memo Line, "New Member Application Fee."

I am 40 years of age or older OR I have lived, worked or operated a business in DC for at least 20 years OR I am descended from people who meet the above qualifications. If you don't currently meet the above qualifications, choose Associate Member. (Associate Members enjoy the same benefits as full members except they may not hold office or vote in matters pertaining to By-law changes.)
