Thank you for renewing your membership in the District's oldest historic organization!

Dear AOI Friends-- it’s time to renew for the 2026 membership year!

What a milestone year we’ve had--160 years of the Association of Oldest Inhabitants of DC! Thanks to you, we celebrated not just our history, but our community, our traditions, and our ongoing curiosity about the city we love.

As we look toward 2026, we’d love for you to renew your membership and stay part of the fun. AOI today is more vibrant than ever: our monthly lunches are buzzing, friendships are growing, and our newest adventures are taking off—like our AOI podcast highlighting past AOI speakers and Member interviews and the newly created William Noble Brown Preservation Fund- named in honor of Past President Bill Brown- helping to ensure our archives and legacy remain alive and accessible for generations.

And we’re just getting started! In the year ahead, our plans include expanding our podcast; on-site scanning for your family or institutional records at lunches; talks and a possible book on AOI’s own remarkable impact on Washington; guided museum tours; and lunch speakers spotlighting DC institutions— the Military Road School founded to educate free people of color, political reporting in the capital, legacies of the Boggs-Roberts and Graham families, U Street landmark Lee’s Flower Shop, how DC became the “Bluegrass Capital,” and more!

We hope you’ll stay with us for another year of history, community, and discovery. Renewing is quick, easy, and dues remain the same! Save time and renew online using the secure Members’ Renewal Portal  on the AOI website (aoidc.org), complete and mail the attached form along with your check, or bring it with you to our New Year’s Day Brunch!

As always, we appreciate your dedication to AOI. We hope to start the year with you on January 1st!

Cindy Gueli
President, on behalf of the Officers and Board of the AOI
